Company Overview
Brierley Associates is a nationwide tunnel, trenchless, geotechnical, and geo-structural design firm. “Creating Space Underground” has been our mission and our passion for 25 years. Our tunnel, trenchless, and geostructural practice combines our knowledge of subsurface conditions, ground behavior, and site constraints with a keen understanding of the risks in underground construction. Constructability, efficiency, and practicality are central to every project we undertake.
Company History
Brierley Associates began in 1999 when our founder, Gary Brierley, hung out a shingle and began solving complex underground challenges. Gary recruited a team highly experienced in the art and science of constructing underground spaces for buildings and infrastructure. Gary was soon joined by Alan Howard, Gregg Sherry, and Jim Smith. Current president, AJ McGinn, joined about a year later as Employee #1.
We now have offices in 17 states and provide professional services for projects across North America.
