Licensure as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID) or ability to obtain licensure through Comity (Reciprocity). (If obtaining licensure through Comity, a temporary permit from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.)
Engineer 2 Graduate:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Two years of post-graduate civil engineering experience.
Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
Resume must also demonstrate:
Knowledge of Civil Engineering principles, practices and techniques sufficient to develop preliminary and final design documents, layouts and plans based on department, state and federal specifications, design standards and procedures.
Knowledge of CADD standards and drafting methods sufficient to direct others in the preparation of detailed construction plans and specifications.
