Works independently, developing objectives, and plans for all or major portions of Manufacturing Operations. Controls function or functions to achieve an end result that supports business and corporate goals. Ensures the development of plans and implementation strategies that integrate with such plans and strategies in other areas of the business and corporation
Accountable for all Operations projects and acts as an internal champion for quality initiatives aimed at improving business systems and compliance.
Develops processes for manufacturing products using 6S, LEAN, Six Sigma, and other Statistics based methods.
Develops facility site service processes for compliance and control to include security, pest control, housekeeping, and other GMP requirements.
Develops processes and works with Training Management to train operators to meet process requirements.
Once the Focus Factory is operational, accountable for the factory P&L and all the plant variances associated with the Focus Factory including Absorption, DL efficiency, Scrap, PPV, Spend, Head Count, Annual Budget, Cost Down Initiatives among others.
Manages and provides leadership for the functional groups’ development, direction, and effectiveness, adhering to organizational policies and processes and supporting overall business and corporate objectives.
Responsible for the lean implementation and drives continuous improvement mindset within the focus factory and owns 1 to 3 year process improvements to be delivered in the 3 to 5 year plan.
Analyzes changing business and customer needs constantly and plans organizational or systems changes to address those needs. Recommends changes to other areas that will improve overall effectiveness of operations and/or quality group.
Participates and promotes subordinate participation on cross-functional and/or inter organizational teams. Frequently leads such teams or task groups especially when the scope is broad and/or the issue complex.
Works closely with senior level people within and outside of company to resolve highly complex, sensitive issues.
Identify, develop, and report critical metric’s for area, with cascading metrics for associates.
Develops interdisciplinary factory goals and objectves to create a team environment, reliant upon the individual supporting crossfunctional needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Master’s degree preferred.
Lean or Six Sigma Certification a plus.
Minimum 10 years experience in operations with at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
Recognized expert within the organization across multiple operational disciplines.
Experience in other functional areas: Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Laboratory Operations, Sterilization Processes, or Materials Planning a plus.
Requires experience managing P&L and plant variances
Knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Requires working knowledge of the business's products and therapy use.
Demonstrated effective leadership, managerial, and strategic planning skills.
Exceptional demonstrated expertise in planning, budgeting, personnel development, and project management directed toward achievement of annual, long term, and strategic business plans and goals.
Subject matter expert with an exceptional understanding of technology and methods applicable to the area and the ability to determine appropriate application.
Data driven individual with demonstrated capability for the Interpretation of realtime statistical process controls and continuous process analytics.
Ability to acquire and utilize data as the basis for important business, personnel and process related decisions.
An equivalent competency level acquired through a variation of these qualifications may be considered.
