Mason & Hanger is currently seeking a dynamic Senior Mechanical Engineer that shares our corporate vision, mission and values. We are committed to a strong, industry leading Mechanical department that operates in our one office model, functions as one team, designs across two disciplines in support of three markets and growing.
The Senior Engineer will provide overall project engineering leadership on specific projects, within the mechanical discipline, and is responsible for developing and presenting engineering solutions to meet client requirements and leading the team in implementing the solution. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated technical skills in designing large and complex HVAC systems and components, conducting HVAC load calculations, energy studies, and the selection of fan, pump, & other major equipment. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated interpersonal skills through experience interfacing with clients, engineers, architects and others of varying technical abilities, and must be able to work effectively within a team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or MET.
10+ years of experience engineering HVAC building systems.
Ability to manage multiple team members across multiple projects.
Proficiency with Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP (using 3-D).
Proficiency with Trane Trace (or commercial equivalent) for load calculation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
Excellent analytical and written skills.
Willingness to travel for project meetings, surveys and site visits.
Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Complex project experience.
Commissioning or Retro-Commissioning experience.
Significant experience with Revit MEP and Navisworks.
LEED AP or other Sustainable Design designation(s).
Plumbing CPD certification.
Significant proficiency with Microsoft Excel for complex calculations.
