As a Client Service Manager in our Infrastructure Discipline, you’ll get to work in a team-oriented environment to meet our clients’ utilities system needs. The Client Service Manager spends at least 50–75% of his or her time out of the office meeting with clients and potential clients to develop and enhance client relationships for the purpose of obtaining contracts/bookings for the Company’s services for client projects. The Client Service Manager is responsible for executing a sales program for assigned client(s) and/or in an assigned area or discipline. Additionally, this role is the face of Jones Edmunds and is responsible for all aspects of the client relationship, and the Client Service Manager provides unrivaled service to distinguish Jones Edmunds as the consultant of choice. This position clearly conveys to all associates the clients’ vision and objectives to ensure that their needs are appropriately addressed in proposals and technical solutions. The Client Service Manager’s actions should increase Jones Edmunds’ strategic advantage in marketing and recruiting. This position may coordinate with associates at all levels of the Company and champions the Company, its management, and initiatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Generate $2 to 5 million in annual client contracts or bookings.
Establish goals, objectives, strategies, and budget requirements for developing new business from existing or new clients.
Serve as a Primary Client Contact
Meet booking targets with fees resulting in profitable jobs.
Exhibit sales and marketing behaviors consistent with Company values.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and potential clients.
Work with associates to produce exceptional proposals, presentations, and client relationships.
Input, monitor, and update marketing opportunities alone or in conjunction with Primary Client Contacts.
Present information to clients and associates.
Represent Jones Edmunds at community and industry events to present a professional, positive, and excellent service and results image.
Communicate internally and externally to ensure cross-selling to clients.
Use excellent judgment at all times.
Perform duties and travel outside the office a minimum of 50–75% of the time
Manage a project or projects.
Engage with developing Engineers/Project Managers to further client services relationships.
Mentor Primary Client Contacts and associates.
Coordinate marketing and sales activities with Operations Managers.
Quality Program Responsibility
Assume responsibility for the quality of their work submitted.
When managing projects, ensure that all team members adhere to the Jones Edmunds Quality Program process and standards.
Hold team members and reviewers accountable to the Jones Edmunds standard for quality.
Create consultative value for clients.
May design a complete project, system, component, or process and prepare complete project documents.
Ensure project documents are consistent with project plans and within project scope and budget.
Identify, analyze, and propose solutions to, or solve problems related to projects or assigned work.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: BS in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field from accredited college or university
Certification: Certified Toastmaster, Dale Carnegie, or equivalent preferred
Experience: 8+ years of progressive consulting or related experience
Other: Demonstrated sales and marketing ability. Excellent communication skills
Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable MVR
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Must have knowledge of Jones Edmunds’ policies and procedures and available Company services and of the client service role and the principles and processes of assessing client needs, meeting service quality standards, and evaluating client satisfaction is required. Must have and use excellent judgment, decision-making skills, critical thinking, and active listening skills. Must also possess the skis required to positively, professionally, and productively interact with the client.
