Huitt-Zollars, Inc. has a dynamic Business Manager career opportunity for an experienced professional at our Corporate Dallas, Texas office. This full-time role reports to the president and oversees the allocation of the firm's entire infrastructure to ensure the company benefits as a whole while maintaining a work environment that promotes profitability and quality. This position supervises a staff of 1-2 employees and may require approximately 30% travel contingent upon the need. The successful candidate will have at least 15 years of business management experience at an architectural / engineering firm and a master's degree in business administration.

Negotiate lease, leasehold improvements, furniture and equipment, etc.
Coordinates successful office moves and disposition of assets.
Evaluate the requirements for and negotiate insurance agreements with assistance from appropriate Vice President's (property and casualty, professional liability, life, health, disability, etc.).
Manage the organizations fleet of vehicles.
Manage purchase/lease of office supplies and equipment (copiers, telephones, etc.)
Make other day-to-day operational decisions in accordance with the company policies, culture, and desires of the management team.
Manage and track firm registration.
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Handle a variety of business management strategy and operational needs as necessary
Minimum 15 years of business management experience in A/E environment
Master's Degree in Business Administration
Solid operations management and drive to deliver results with continuous improvement
Ability to think “outside of the box”, embrace change, and suggest creative, innovative solutions as it relates to business needs
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and work on many projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
Professional disposition with ability to interface with all levels of employees and management with diplomacy
Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, written and communication skills
Ability solve problems with sound solutions and work in strict confidence
Proven ability to establish relationships
Excellent time management
Ability to read and interpret documents such as affirmative action plans and procedure manuals.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Vision/Deltek Experience is a plus
