We are currently seeking an AeroMechanical Engineering Manager to join our TUAS (Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems) team.
The Aero-Mechanical Manager is an experienced individual within the aerospace, technology or related industry with extensive knowledge performing their function in a fast-paced organization. As a member of the Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System’s Engineering management team, the Aero-Mechanical Manager participates in executing the overall strategic technology roadmap that will drive the business growth in an very competitive market space. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a functional organization that has the capabilities and capacities to meet the business needs. In addition, the candidate will be expected to manage a group of Aerospace and mechanical engineering professionals, including budget planning, staffing, training, performance evaluation and career development. The Aero-Mechanical Manager will manage the design and development of new Unmanned Aircraft System products as well as product changes and enhancements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
Must be able to provide clear and concise communication (written and oral), as well as provide professional presentations
Mentor other engineers in the team
Responsible for managing resources to meet project demands
Plans workload for aero-mechanical design activities
Provides technical expertise and guidance to team to meet guidelines for DfX
Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction with both internal and external customers
Utilize modeling based design and promote the culture of design for manufacturing
Be the connection point between design, manufacturing, and quality engineering team
Be able to convert a developed concept into a manufacturable design with high quality

Required Qualifications & Background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Masters preferred.
Minimum of 10 years experience in Aero-Mechanical field with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role
Implements methods to plan, track progress and remain on schedule and proposes strategies for further efficiency
Anticipates problems and develops sound solutions through implementation of action plans to ensure success
Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written) skills
Drives for results, action oriented
Displays organizational and leadership skills
Strong knowledge and experience of aerospace mechanical systems specially fuselage, flight control systems, and composite materials
Understanding of thermal management for electronic systems
Experience with cad software for 3D models and 2D drawings (SolidWorks preferred)
Experience with configuration management
Working knowledge of Multi-Disciplinary-Analysis & Optimization (MDAO)
Working knowledge of Model Based Engineering
